Dirty Trunk
Some time ago, we heard about this new restaurant called Dirty Trunk that opened in Paju, a small city located 45 minutes north of Seoul. Since we like to eat out and explore new areas, we decided to go last weekend to give you guys our opinion.
At first we were surprised with the size of the place. Restaurants in Korea are usually small but this one is incredibly spacious and has a very particular decoration.
In addition, we cannot just consider Dirty Trunk a restaurant. It is a surprising mix of a restaurant, bar, bakery and coffee shop. We can easily say that you can visit this place at any time of the day and you will definitely find something to eat or drink.
WHAT TO EAT
You can expect to pay between 12,000 ~ 23,000KRW for a meal and between W4,000 ~ W10,000 for a coffee or cake. It may seem that this American style eatery is a little pricey compared with other places but the atmosphere is great and the meal portions are big.
BEST TIMES TO GO
The restaurant is open Monday through Sunday
From 9:00 am to 10:00 pm
HOW TO GET TO DIRTY TRUNK
Renting a car is the easiest way and the one we recommend to arrive to Dirty Trunk. The parking spot is big and it is free of charge.
If you want to go by public transportation, we suggest the following option of around 30 minutes from Daehwa Station (Subway Line #3):
- Take the bus #200 near Exit #4 of the station.
- Get off in the Munbaldong-Witmal bus stop.
- Turn to your right in the first corner, then to your left after around 50m and once again to your right after another 50m.
- Go straight for around 100m and you will find Dirty Trunk.
