Seokchon Lake
We love this lake a lot. It is one of the main attractions whenever the season changes. During spring you can see the cherry blossoms to its maximum splendid and during the fall foliage it’s like walking into a movie set. The walking path around the lake is not quite big so take that into account if you are planning to go during these two special seasons as it gets quite packed with people.
Coffee Shops near Jamsil Station
Just around Seokchon Lake you will find tons and tons of cafes. Like in other places of South Korea some of these coffee shops are theme based and some even offer great views of the Lotte Tower.
If you love to paint and draw while drinking coffee there’s a drawing theme cafe for you. We went to to check it out and what an experience! It was so therapeutic as well to just sit and drink your favorite beverage while trying to draw or paint something. The cafe offers you all the tools to draw and even has art books that teach you how to draw or paint certain things.

Seoulism is one of our favorite cafes to visit because of the view they offer. The menu prices tend to be a bit more pricier but we think it’s quite fair for all the amazing pictures you can take here.

Restaurant near Jamsil Station
There is a street nearby Seokchon Lake and Lotte World Mall that is filled with restaurants. Here you will probably find one of our favorite places to eat 감자탕 (pork bone stew). The meat is incredibly tender that it just falls off the bone as you are eating it. One of the best places to eat this plate.
If you’re not up to eating korean food there are many restaurants around the area of Jamsil Station that offer amazing food. Another great restaurant is a taiwanese restaurant between the Seoulism cafe and Seokchon lake.
Olympic Park
Olympic Park is an enormous park that we highly recommend you give it a visit. Check out our past blog about this park. Made for the Olympics in Seoul in 1988, it has now become a place to do a bit of exercise or meet up with friends.
Thank you for the information!!
I wish to be there. The soup and sides looks delicious!!
